Mixing and mastering online

Mixing is working on each element of your mix separately and bringing them together, getting a whole, harmonious composition. Mastering is the final additional process that allows you to get a completely balanced, enriched, absolutely “polished” sound. These services do not require your compulsory presence in the recording studio and can be carried out remotely as a complex or separately, by providing us with your files for mastering and/or mixing online.

For online mixing you need:

  1. Multitrack with separately recorded audio tracks;
  2. Your personal wishes;
  3. The reference track which is an example of the sound that you like;
  4. Send it all to us, discuss details with the mixing engineer, come to a common vision of your track;
  5. Pay for the service;
  6. Be in touch in case of questions;
  7. Get the finished product.

To order online mastering service we will need your mixed track. And better – multitracks (mixed groups of basic sound elements, – stems); often it’s vocals, guitar, string instruments, bass, keyboard instruments, etc. This will get better result because when creating a final harmonious composition, we will have access to each of the elements separately, which will allow us to make changes in one stem, without affecting others. Having “aligned” each stem, we will mix your track into one. Accordingly, stem-mastering will give a much better result than mastering a mixed single track composition.

What you need for a stem-mastering online:

  1. The stems of your track (often, these are: lead vocals, back vocals, guitars, bass, bass drum, snare drum, drums & percussions , synths and keys, sfx);
  2. Your personal wishes; How you see the sound of your track;
  3. The reference track which is an example of the sound that you like;
  4. Send it all to us, discuss details with the mastering engineer, come to a common vision of your track;
  5. Pay for the service;
  6. Be in touch in case of questions;
  7. Get the finished product.

Technical parameters when preparing files for online mixing and mastering:

  • Compressors, limiters, noise shaping, dithering on the master bus must be turned off;
  • If the processing on individual tracks is of an artistic nature (sidechains, automatic filters, reverb, delays), they can be exported separately as individual tracks;
  • Peak levels should be between -12 and -2 dB;
  • Each individual track is exported to wav with minimum quality of 24 bit and 44.1 khz;
  • The name of each track must mark the element in English. For example, guitar – “guit”, bass drum – “kick” or “bd”, snare drum – snare or “sd”, etc.;
  • Be sure to specify the tempo of the composition in BPM;
  • Also be sure to provide the track preview in mp3;
